Continuing the 1980’s
Kirsh dropped the Agency connection with Barry Smedley in Santa Monica, USA.,and worked hard to try and establish a market for TWEED AUDIO in America himself but without any major success until a break through in 1982 with an order from Station KCPB Thousand Oaks Los Angeles (part of The University of Southern California) - for two Custom Desks (below) which were delivered in Spring 1983.
The History
Qaiser (Kirsh's son) was sent over to California to run the Test and Servicing side of the American Business allowing Kirsh to flit back and forwards over the pond.
Kirsh continued to burn his candles at both ends and came up with a Concept Design for the American Market (which KCPB's Consoles were effectively the prototypes)
